This section defines certain terms used throughout CertifyMed’s legal documents. All references to “CertifyMed,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refer toInnovation Strategy Group LLC d/b/a CertifyMed, located at 11750 W 135th St, #5198, Overland Park, KS 66221.
Key Terms
- Account: A unique account created for Providers to access our Services. Sometimes referred to as your “Clinic.”
- Affiliates: Any parent entity, subsidiaries, joint venture partners, or other companies we control or that are under common control with us.
- Device: Any device that can access the Services, such as a computer, phone, or tablet.
- CertifyMed Services or Services: The CertifyMed platform, software, applications, and related services provided to Providers for use with Patients.
- Guest: An individual who visits our Site for information or customer support but is not currently in a Session as a Patient and does not have a Provider account.
- Patient: An individual using the Patient component of the Services via a unique URL from a Provider to enter a Waiting Room prior to a Session.
- Provider: A healthcare professional (or other licensed professional) who has signed up as a “Provider” and uses CertifyMed’s Services with their Patients.
- Provider Link: A unique URL that Patients use to access a Provider’s Waiting Room before a Session, e.g., https://certifymed.com/DrSmith2025.
- Service Providers: Third-party companies or individuals contracted by us to facilitate or provide the Services on our behalf, or to assist in analyzing or monitoring usage.
- Session: A secure audio and/or video communication between a Patient and a Provider.
- Telehealth Tools: Optional third-party add-ons or tools that Providers can use during a Session with Patient consent. These might require additional terms or fees.
- Usage Data: Data collected automatically or through the Services’ infrastructure—e.g., device type, IP address, operating system, browser type, pages visited, or time spent on pages.
- Waiting Room: The webpage a Patient sees before a Session begins. Providers can customize this space’s look and content.
